Announcement on Graduate Degree Examinations and Graduation Procedures Graduate School of Intelligent Data Science
Fall Semester, Academic Year 2026 (20260801-20270731)
To: Graduate students expected to graduate in the Fall Semester of Academic Year 2026 (Thesis title and thesis advisor must be submitted online and approved by an Institute Meeting by the end of the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year/before 20260731.)
Subject: Application for the Master's Degree Examination for the Fall Semester of Academic Year 2026
The application period for the Master's Degree Examination for the Fall Semester of Academic Year 2026 is from September 8, 2026, to 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2026. Graduate students who plan to graduate in the current semester are required to complete the online application and submit all required documents to the Graduate School Office within the specified deadline.
Description:
1. Please follow the schedule announced by the Graduate School. For detailed information, deadlines, and regulations, please refer to the Graduate Degree Examination Schedule (Attachment 1).
2. On or before the deadline for the online degree examination application, please submit the following documents to the Graduate School Office:
(1) Master's Degree Examination Application Form of the Graduate School of Intelligent Data

(2) Master's/Doctoral Degree Examination Application Form (generated by the university system).
(3) Master's/Doctoral Degree Examination Application Review Form (advisor's signature required).
(4) Transcript of Academic Records (student's signature required; advisor's signature is not required).
(5) Preliminary Draft of the Thesis. (Please email to the Institute Assistant's mailbox: jtchen@yuntech.edu.tw)
(6) Thesis Originality/Similarity Check Report (to be provided to the examination committee members at the oral examination).

(8) Supporting documents demonstrating fulfillment of the graduation requirements.
Note: Documents 1–8 (except for Item 4) must be signed by the thesis advisor.
3. The degree examination results must be submitted to the Graduate School Office no later than 12:00 noon on January 25, 2027, for subsequent submission to the Office of Academic Affairs. The following documents are required:

7. Degree Examination Certification and Evaluation Forms:
Please print the forms through:
University Homepage → Single Sign-On → Academic Affairs Information System → Master's/Doctoral Thesis → Print Degree Examination Evaluation Form/Certification.
Once the examination committee member information has been submitted by clicking “Confirm Submission,” it cannot be modified. Please carefully verify all information before completing the submission. If any changes to the examination committee members are required, the Application Form for Changes to Graduate Degree Examination Committee Members must be completed and submitted to the Curriculum and Instruction Division of the Office of Academic Affairs at least three days before the degree examination. If the application is still under review by the Graduate School and has not yet been submitted to the Curriculum and Instruction Division, please contact the Graduate School Office directly for changes.
9. Application for Delayed Public Access to the Thesis:
Please download the Consent Form for Electronic Thesis Upload and the Application Form for Delayed Public Access to the Thesis from the Thesis Formatting Guidelines section.
10. According to the regulations and correspondence from the National Central Library, public access to theses is the general principle.
The reason“preparation for thesis submission/publication” is no longer accepted as a basis for delayed public access. The only acceptable reasons are:
11. Thesis Originality/Similarity Check:
Students must complete the thesis originality/similarity check before the degree examination and provide the report for reference by the examination committee members. An additional field has been added to the Degree Examination Evaluation Form for committee members to record their evaluation after reviewing the report.
The University Library provides the Turnitin Thesis Originality/Similarity Check System for graduate students. If you have any questions regarding system usage, please contact the Library's Circulation and Reference Section at ext. 2613.
Note: According to the resolution of the 2nd Institute Affairs Meeting of the 2023 Academic Year held on October 26, 2023, the originality/similarity thresholds established by the Graduate School are:

Note 1: The Curriculum and Instruction Division accepts theses from students graduating in the current semester during the period specified in the Registration Division's academic calendar, from the date when graduating students may begin the graduation clearance procedure until the deadline for collecting degree certificates. Students who wish to complete graduation procedures outside this period must apply in accordance with the regulations stated in the Application Form for Early Graduation and Degree Certificate Issuance for Graduate Students. Applications are accepted until Week 15 and are limited to students who are not taking courses during the current semester. - The original copy of the Degree Examination Certification shall be retained by the student.
- The system interface for printing the Degree Examination Certification/Evaluation Forms allows graduate students to revise their thesis titles until the examination results are submitted. Students must carefully verify their thesis titles. In accordance with university regulations, once the examination results have been submitted and the grades officially recorded, neither the Chinese nor English thesis title may be changed.
Once the examination committee member information has been submitted by clicking “Confirm Submission,” it cannot be modified. Please carefully verify all information before completing the submission. If any changes to the examination committee members are required, the Application Form for Changes to Graduate Degree Examination Committee Members must be completed and submitted to the Curriculum and Instruction Division of the Office of Academic Affairs at least three days before the degree examination. Before 5:00 p.m. on the deadline for graduating students to collect their degree certificates announced by the Registration Division, students must submit:
- One bound copy of the library-approved final thesis to the Curriculum and Instruction Division of the Office of Academic Affairs, which will be submitted to the National Central Library in accordance with the Degree Conferral Act.
- One bound copy to the Graduate School Office.
13. When completing the graduation and leaving-the-university procedures through the Graduate School, students must submit:
- A complete PDF file of of the library-approved final thesis, signed by the thesis advisor and formatted according to the requirements announced by the Office of Academic Affairs.

- Graduate School Core Competency Assessment Questionnaire – Graduation
Note 1: The Curriculum and Instruction Division accepts theses from students graduating in the current semester during the period specified in the Registration Division's academic calendar, from the date when graduating students may begin the graduation clearance procedure until the deadline for collecting degree certificates.
